Ta'alta
2021
"Ta'alta" is the Assyrian-Aramaic translation of the word "toy". This Ta'alta mimics a common children's toy in which the shapes are replaced by the Assyrian-Aramaic alphabet. This sculpture represents the conflicting fragility and durability of our language, seeing that it remains the strongest proof that connect us to our heritage, and is taught usually in the earliest stages of a childs life.
